What is Podiatry?
Healthcare is an area of work that is constantly changing and advancing. It requires many professionals working together to meet the needs of the ever ageing and changing population. Podiatrists are healthcare professionals who work as part of that multidisciplinary team to deliver the care needed to keep the population healthy and mobile.
Podiatrists work to improve the mobility, independence and the quality of life for their patients by providing preventative care, diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of problems affecting the feet, ankles and lower limbs.
An important relationship exists between the health of our feet and our overall well being. We take a holistic approach to foot health and discuss with each patient their full medical history, occupation, life style, sports and leisure activities to aid clinical diagnosis, treatment and prevention of all foot disorders. Discomfort experienced in the feet affects both mobility and quality of life.
General Treatment
We offer a popular service comprising of nail trimming, removal of hard skin (Callous), corns and sanding of dry skin areas. This is completed with hydration of the feet and massage. All aspects of foot health is discussed during the treatment session.
Diabetes
Foot health is more important to patients with diabetes. Routine checks will help identify potential problems including early changes in circulation, sensation, temperature, nails and skin disorders, all possible side affects associated with Diabetes.

Olivia Page BSc (Hons) MChS
I graduated from Durham School of Podiatric Medicine in 2001 with an honours degree in Podiatry.
My working life started in the private sector, where I worked in a small clinic in Bath for 3 years, before moving to the NHS. First with Kennet and North Wiltshire PCT, and then with Bristol North PCT.
During my time within the NHS my work diversified to hospital based placements alongside community visits in GP practices and domiciliary care (home visits).
In 2006 I became self employed and I am currently based within the Willow Brook Clinic. When not working I enjoy socialising with friends, travelling and I am also a keen skier.
